Individual Psychotherapy
Personalized treatment to better understand what you’re going through, ease your distress, and help you develop new ways of coping with life’s challenges. This service is for anyone seeking greater self-understanding, looking to overcome a difficult experience, or ready to initiate meaningful change in their life.
Individual Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is provided by members of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec and is distinct from supportive counseling or psychological assistance due to its structured framework focused on change.
Furthermore, several orientations exist: cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic-existential therapy, psychodynamic-analytic therapy, and systemic-interactional therapy. Different types of therapy stem from these approaches.
Each approach used at the center is based on empirically validated therapies. Under each professional’s profile, you will find their preferred approaches and the type of therapy they practice.
Couples Therapy
A space to understand your relational dynamics, overcome impasses in your relationship and strengthen your connection. This service is intended for couples experiencing periods of tension, distance, or conflict, as well as for partners who wish to deepen their communication and intimacy.

Couples Psychotherapy
Emotionally focused therapy is the approach used in couples psychotherapy at CSP Outaouais.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a humanistic, evidence-based approach to psychotherapy, drawing primarily from attachment theory to facilitate the creation of secure, vibrant connection with self and others. Rooted in the science of emotions and attachment, EFT helps clients identify and transform the negative processing and interaction patterns that create distress. It’s effective in treating individuals, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of issues from marital distress to individual anxiety and trauma.
Psychoeducational Groups
A structured space to explore your personal experiences while benefiting from the support of a group with shared challenges. This service is especially suited for individuals seeking meaningful and lasting change around a specific issue, while fostering a sense of belonging.
